Crossover Gallery respects your privacy. This statement explains what personal data we process when you use crossover.gallery, why we do so, and what your rights are. It is written to match what the website actually does. When we add features, we update it.
Who we are
Crossover Gallery is a trade name of Q-Bik International V.O.F., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK number 24291063. We are an online gallery without public premises and the controller for the personal data described in this statement. You can reach us at info@crossover.gallery.
What this statement covers
This statement applies to the website crossover.gallery, our newsletter, and email correspondence with us. It does not cover other websites we link to; those have their own privacy policies.
Visiting the website
Our website is hosted by TransIP in the Netherlands, inside the European Economic Area. Like every web server, the host records access logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and available and to trace faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe website. The host keeps the logs for a limited period; we do not keep separate copies.
Some headings on this website use a font served by Adobe Fonts. Your browser requests the font file from Adobe's servers, and that request necessarily includes your IP address so the file can be delivered. Adobe states that it does not store the IP address and does not set cookies for this service. See Adobe's privacy information for Adobe Fonts.
Cookies
We do not use analytics services and we do not set cookies to track you. The website works without a cookie banner because it has nothing to ask your consent for. If that changes, this section will say so.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter through the form in the footer. We ask for your first name, last name, email address, preferred language and the subjects you are interested in, so we can send you relevant news in the language you choose. We process this data on the basis of your consent.
We use Mailchimp, a service of Intuit Inc. in the United States, to store the subscriber list and send the emails. Intuit is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and Mailchimp's data processing addendum includes the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Together these are the legal ground for transferring your data outside the European Economic Area. Mailchimp records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked; we use that only to see which content is of interest.
A subscription starts only after you confirm it by clicking the link in the email Mailchimp sends you (double opt-in). Unconfirmed sign-ups are not added to the list. We keep your details until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us. Withdrawing consent stops future emails; it does not affect processing that took place before.
Contacting us
When you email us, we use your name, email address and the contents of your message to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or the steps needed before a purchase. We keep correspondence for as long as the exchange requires. If an enquiry leads to a purchase, we keep the invoice and the data on it for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires. Giving us your details is voluntary, but without an email address we cannot reply.
Inquiries about works
On artist pages you can send us an inquiry about a work. We ask for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. The inquiry is emailed to us and kept in our mailbox for as long as the conversation and our business records require; it is not stored on the website. If you tick the box to be kept informed, we add your address to our newsletter as described under Newsletter, and Mailchimp asks you to confirm by email first.
Social media
The icons in the footer are plain links to our Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky profiles. Nothing from those platforms is loaded on our pages, so they receive no data about you until you follow a link. Once you do, their own privacy policies apply.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the service providers named above: TransIP (hosting), Adobe (fonts) and Mailchimp (newsletter). Each acts as a processor under an agreement with us and may use the data only to provide its service. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time.
Email your request to info@crossover.gallery and we will respond within one month. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. If you believe we handle your data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security and changes
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to its administration is limited to the gallery and protected with two-factor authentication. We update this statement whenever the website changes in a way that affects your data.
